Agada, Victor Boniface new guns shooting to the top – Score Nigeria

Remember the names William Agada (Sporting KC, MLS) and Victor Boniface (Union St.Gilloise, Belgium) because they will soon become household names going by what they are delivering at their respective clubs.

5.William Agada

The former Mighty Jets of Jos striker is flying the Nigerian flag very high in the MLS in the United States of America after he fired his seventh goal for Sporting KC against Minnesota United in his rookie season. He chose his 23rd birthday to net his brace. He has most certainly earned an improved contract.

4.Peter Olayinka

The Super Eagles forward is now the all-time top scorer for Czech champions Slavia Praha in Europe after he scored his 13th goal against KF Ballkani in a Conference League group game. It was his second goal in the competition and his consistency in the last four years was praised by the Slavia Praha coach.

3.Yusuf Otubanjo

His goal in the UEFA Europa Conference League was voted by UEFA as the Goal of the Week. It helped his Armenian club Pyunik Yerevan beat Slovak club Slovan Bratislava in the competition. The much-traveled forward further endeared himself to Armenians when he celebrated the goal by displaying a t-shirt calling for peace in the country following an invasion by neighbours Azerbaijan.  

2.Victor Boniface

This beast of a striker has within days proved to be the match winner for his Belgian club Union St.Gilloise. First, he grabbed the winning goal in the Conference League tie against Swedish champions Malmo and then on Sunday, he snatched the goal that gave them all three points against KAS Eupen in the league. It is now just a matter of time before he is handed his first-ever call-up to the Super Eagles.

1.Terem Moffi

The Super Eagles striker is really firing at full cylinders this season in the French Ligue 1 after he scored his sixth goal in eight appearances at Auxerre and his club FC Lorient usually accustomed to fighting at the bottom end of the table are now pushing at the top side of the standings. He deserved his Eagles call-up and will be expected to push for a starting spot against Algeria in the absence of Victor Osimhen.
