Akpunonu, Eneli drafted to MLS by Super Draft – Score Nigeria
Joey Akpunonu and Emeka Eneli, who both have Nigerian roots, have been picked by MLS clubsides in the Super Draft ahead of the 2023 season.
Joey Akpunonu, a versatile defender with Bowling Green University soccer team, was picked by FC Cincinnati.
He was the first player from the Bowling Green University soccer team to the picked by MLS club in the first round Super Draft.
Emeka Eneli, a striker, has been acquired by Real Salt Lake from Cornell University.
The new MLS season starts in February 2023.
