Super Eagles forwards Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis scored for Nottingham Forest to beat Valencia 2-1 in a friendly ahead of their Boxing Day clash at Manchester United.
Awoniyi opened scoring after confusion in the Valencia defence allowed him to slot home into an empty net.
Their La Liga foes then drew level, before Emmanuel Dennis restored their lead 15 minutes later.
Promoted Forest are bottom of the Premier League standings prior to the World Cup break and will hope for a result at Old Trafford on Boxing Day to get their survival battle going.
