Flying Eagles drawn in U20 AFCON ‘Group of Death’ along with hosts Egypt, Senegal – Score Nigeria
The Flying Eagles have been drawn in the toughest first round group of the 2023 U20 AFCON along with hosts Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique.
Group A will be based in Cairo.
Group B in Ismailia has Uganda, Central African Republic, South Sudan and Congo, while Group C to be based in Alexandria is headed by Gambia along with Tunisia, Benin and Zambia.
The top two teams in the three first round groups will qualify for the quarterfinals, while two third best losers will also advance.
The four semifinalists will qualify for the 2023 U20 World Cup to be hosted by Indonesia in May.
The U20 AFCON will be played between February 19 and March 11, 2023.
