New Super Eagles Defender Shines For Fulham In Win Over Leicester City

Fulham moved up to eight in the English Premier League and also leveled on points with 7th placed Liverpool after a hard earned 1-0 win away at Leicester City, who are now 13th and just three points away from the drop zone.

Aleksandar Mitrović scored his 11th goal of the season in the 17th minute and it ended at the decisive goal of the game. A game which had as many as three Nigerian players on show during the course of the game.

Wilfred Ndidi and Tosin Adarabiyio were on from the start for Leicester City and Fulham respectively while Kelechi Iheanacho was subbed on by the coach of the home team Brendan Rodgers as they went in search of a leveller.

Adarabiyio was the only one who clocked the full minutes of the game as Ndidi was subbed off . The defender who has openly pledged his international future to Nigeria, and also invited the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Austine Eguavoen to watch him play last week showed what he will add to the defence of the Super Eagles.

He was calm, played out from the back nicely and also showed good aerial strength and awareness which helped him to shake off any threat to the defence . It was his 12th game of the season and despite playing as a defender he has a goal to his name.
