La Liga Prediction 1Almeria vs Barcelona Prediction: Over 2.5 Total Goals

We saw at least three goals being scored in three of the last five h2h meetings between Almeria and Barcelona and we can see that being the case once again on Saturday afternoon.

In addition to this, Almeria averaged 3.05 goals per game in La Liga this season, which is the highest average of all teams in the league. Meanwhile, Barcelona averaged 2.36 goals per game in the league so far.

La Liga Prediction 2Sevilla vs Osasuna Prediction: Sevilla to Win

While Osasuna is still five points ahead of Sevilla in La Liga standings, Sevilla is the team that’s in better form recently. After all, they won three of their last five games, while Osasuna only has one win in the last six games in the league.

On top of that, it was Osasuna who eliminated Sevilla from Copa del Rey this season, so Sevilla will be hoping for revenge. Given their current form and the fact that they are hosting the game, we can see them getting the three points here.

La Liga Prediction 3Villarreal vs Getafe Prediction: Villarreal to Win

The Yellow Submarine is in poor form recently and that’s probably a mild statement given the simple fact that Villarreal lost four matches in a row in La Liga. However, they are still in the top half of the standings and fighting for a spot in European competitions.

Also, Getafe hardly lit the world on fire recently, with just one win in the last six matches in the league. So, despite their bad form, we can see Villarreal winning this game.

Outright markets and La Liga OddsLa Liga Winner Odds

Last season Real Madrid practically dominated La Liga from start to finish to win their 35th title, finishing 13 points ahead of their biggest rivals Barcelona. Ancelotti’s team also scored the most goals in the league, led by Benzema and Vinicious Jr. who combined for 44 of their 80 goals last season.

Real Madrid was the main favourite to defend the title before the start of the season, but Barcelona is currently leading the race and they are now the favourites. Next to these two teams, the rest of the league is too far behind and the odds reflect that.

La Liga Top Goalscorer Odds

As we already mentioned, Benzema and Vinicius Jr. combined for 44 goals in La Liga last season, claiming two of the top three spots on the list of top scorers. Of course, Benzema won the Golden Boot with 27 goals, nine more than the closest rival Iago Aspas from Celta Vigo.

Vinicius Jr. was third with 17 goals, same as Raul de Tomas from Espanyol. Juanmi from Real Betis and Enes Unal finished the season with 16 goals each.

So, Karim Benzema was the favourite once again after his fantastic couple of seasons, but he Robert Lewandowski was right behind him. Now, Lewandowski seems like the runaway candidate for the Golden Boot, which would be his sixth time in a row to be the top goalscorer in a league after he did it for five years straight in Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.

La Liga Relegation Odds

We saw Alaves, Levante, and Granada finish last season as the last three teams in La Liga standings, which means that we won’t be seeing them in the top flight this season.

Instead of them, Girona, Almeria, and Real Valladolid have been promoted from Segunda and they will try to avoid getting back down right away. However, right now, it is Elche who seems like the main candidate to go down.

Top Betting Sites for La Liga

Here is our selection of the top odds & betting sites for La Liga:

Betting Tips: All-Time Top Scorers of the La Liga

Lionel Messi leads this statistic with a total of 474 goals for Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga. It’s tough to beat his record, especially for newer players who don’t have that many years of experience. The second-best goalscorer is Cristiano Ronaldo, with 311 La Liga goals. His attempt at beating the Messi record was cut short when he moved to play for Juventus in 2018.

The third player in the rankings is Telmo Zarra with two hundred and fifty-one goals while playing for Athletic Bilbao for fifteen seasons in the 1940s and 1950s. The next players in the ranking are as follows:

Hugo SánchezRaúlAlfredo Di StéfanoCésar RodríguezQuiniPahiñoEdmundo Suárez

All of them played for different teams except for Raúl, who is considered one of the best players in Real Madrid. He left his mark on the La Liga with the impressive amount of two hundred and twenty-eight goals from 1994 to 2010.

What is the Spanish La Liga, and what are its rules?

The full name of the Spanish La Liga is Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Primera División. It’s a top professional football league in Spain for men. It was founded over ninety years ago, and twenty teams participate. The teams who get relegated from La Liga compete in Segunda División.

Of the sixty-two teams that participated in the league since it was created, only nine of them have been crowned champions. The La Liga is usually played from August to May.

Bookmakers wouldn’t have trouble picking the top teams who would rank high in the 2022/2023 La Liga. It comes down to three choices – Real Madrid, Barcelona, or Atletico Madrid. If we had to guess, we would bet on Real Madrid defending La Liga title, but we don’t want to rule out Barcelona or Atletico out either.

We don’t expect any other teams to challenge these for the top three spots, but you never know what can happen in football. The other teams we mentioned in the article have ranked high in the past season of La Liga, but they haven’t got in the top three. We hope you enjoyed our predictions for the 2022/23 Spanish La Liga, and we hope that we are correct. We will see once the league begins in August.
