Red Devils legend Gary Neville reveals Super Eagles star could play for Manchester United
England and Red Devils legend Gary Neville has picked Wilfred Ndidi among three players from outside of the Premier League's traditional 'big six' clubs who could play for Manchester United.
Though he was originally a central defender, Ndidi is born to play the role of a holding midfielder with his fierce tackles and
intelligent interceptions and has been a key part of the Leicester City squad that has impressed in recent seasons.
The 24-year-old has also shown the willingness to commit some sneaky fouls when he has to.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are often considered the big six Premier League clubs, but Neville questioned the inclusion of the Gunners.
Asked by the Sport Bible audience the three players from outside of the top six he would add to the United squad, Neville answered : “I would say Vardy. You’d have to over the last four or five years. Just his level of performance.”But I think Leicester are in the top six, by the way, so I disagree with the way in which it’s been put together.
“I think I’d be going for three Leicester players, to be honest with you. I would probably be going for Ndidi, Vardy.”I’d go for Seamus Coleman. Just over the years, I think he’s been (a) brilliant full-back at Everton. If it’s now, maybe Seamus Coleman, Vardy and Ndidi.”
Ndidi is clearly highly regarded by Leicester boss Brendan
Rodgers and the Foxes struggled when he was recovering from an injury in the first half of last season.
